It was loud, crazy and absolutely epic. And from the look of the kid’s faces they really needed a blow out after a crazy year.
I wanted to name every single person that helped by dropping off baking, setting up the amazing decorations, getting their kids ready at home, finding prize sponsors, making the witches brew, drawing not-to-scale maps of hall layout, cooking the sausages, reading fortunes, face painting spiders and scars, setting up projectors, taking polaroids, selling glow sticks, pinning tails on cats, getting up ladders, making the most amazing balloon garland, making sure the ghosts were bowled over, moving furniture, making popcorn, counting lollies, judging the best dressed, setting up partitions, printing out flyers and signage, being the coolest MC, dancing on stage with 80’s hair, sweeping the floor, taking down the decorations (a few less staples next time huh Charlie!), taking entry fees and doing the dishes…. but it would take too long.
Instead I will just say a big thank you to all of you! Without you all and the amazing kids this wouldn’t be possible.
We raised a few thousand dollars (final numbers to come in) but for me it was more about our school spirit. I look forward to next year.
