Beanstack

And finally, there’s also an online challenge set up in Beanstack – https://aucklandlibraries.beanstack.com/. Beanstack is a tool you can use to keep track of all the books you read as well as giving you the opportunity to participate in fun activities and go in a draw to win awesome prizes!

How does this challenge work?

– Log every day you read and earn Ngā Tamariki o Matariki badges. The more you read and log, the more badges you’ll earn!

– Complete activities in each of six sets to earn more Ngā Tamariki o Matariki badges. These badges are based on the family of Matariki. Some of the stars have been paired in badges to speak to the balance they form in nature:

  • Matariki
  • Tupuānuku – Tupuārangi
  • Waitī – Waitā
  • Waipunārangi – Ururangi
  • Pōhutukawa
  • Hiwa-i-te-rangi

So we’re getting ready at the library to explore the the many themes of Matariki these holidays with Ngā Tamariki o Matariki and we look forward to seeing you there!

Ngā mihi
