Kia ora Koutou
As I am sure you have heard today, Auckland will remain under Level 4 restrictions for the next two weeks with a review on Monday 13th September by the Prime Minister and her advisors.
We know this is hard for all of us, as we would love to be back at school with our tamariki.
When we look to NSW in Australia or further afield, we appreciate that our swift lockdown is something that will make a positive impact in dealing with the Covid Delta variant. Perhaps it is too early to say, but it was reassuring to see a decline in covid-19 cases in Auckland today as well as an increase in vaccinations.
Remote learning will continue as it has done so far. The teachers have worked hard to plan and deliver programmes for our tamariki either online or with packs. Please do not stress about the learning as we know juggling life is challenging.
The MOE was in contact with me today to say that more hard packs will be delivered to school at some point this week, so when we have had confirmation, we will be organising the distribution of them to those who need them.
As is so important, stay safe, and please follow the guidelines so we can be back at school as soon as we can. We miss our tamariki tremendously. If you have any concerns please do not hesitate to contact your child’s class teacher so we can support you.
