New School. Construction of Building D

posted in: News

The school redevelopment continues at a great rate of knots. Almost all of the external framing has been completed on Building D and work will commence on the roof at soon as the framing is complete. Building D runs parallel to the school boundary fence from the big Pohutukawa Tree to the sea.

Over the next couple of weeks, weather permitting, the contractors will roughly shape the land into what will be the final contour of the school site and playground areas.

As the project continues Decmil expects the buildings to be constructed more quickly as the builders develop a better understanding of the process and methodology for erecting the walls and roof structure. Roof panels and wall framing are arriving at school on almost a daily basis.
