The Parents & Friends of Te Huruhi (PaFoT) Society is a group of passionate parents and community members who volunteer their time to support the School with their various fundraising initiatives. Annual School Donations help with some necessary supplies, but the additional fundraising supports the school to be operating the best it can be.

The Society was officially established in 2017 as a seperate legal entity to gain a gambling licence for one of our most successful fundraising campaigns, The Waiheke Wedding Lottery.

PaFoT currently manage regular sausage sizzles, bake sales and discos along with special events including the Danceathon, Colour Fun Run etc.

There is also a small team within PaFoT who focus on Grant applications and philanthropic donations.

All funds raised by the Society are given back to Te Huruhi to help with things like, at present, the rebuild of our new school. The main structure is funded by the Ministry of Education however it is up to the school to cover the rest, including furniture, equipment, landscaping and playgrounds which adds up to $600,000.

To stay in the loop with our initiatives and updates on our progress we encourage all parents to follow our Parents & Friends of Te Huruhi Facebook page (

To continue to successfully roll out campaigns, events and securing grants for Te Huruhi, we are always looking for volunteers to join our team. We live by the motto of ‘more hands make light work’. To be part of the team you don’t need any specific skills or experience, just passion and drive and a little bit of spare time.

We welcome you to attend any of our meetings which are generally held on a Wednesday morning after drop-off. To find out more, please call the school office (09) 372-0200, or email [email protected], for further information.
